Does it change my music files?
No. The app only reads your audio files. It never changes or deletes them.
Does it work offline?
The app does not need an account. A complete statement about network behaviour will be published once it has been confirmed. The optional AI Assistant and preference learning run on the device.
Which tempos and genres?
Any. Techno, house and drum and bass are the main targets. If a track reads at half, double or four thirds of its real tempo, set the crate’s expected tempo and re-analyse it.
What does NO SAFE MIX mean?
The Director could not find a clean transition for that pair. It plans a plain crossfade with the tracks in SYNC, or loops the leaving track out when the tempos are too far apart. You can open and change the plan.
Will it mix for me?
It plans, and you decide. You can audition, edit or reject every transition. Set Director can play a planned set.
Is the AI Assistant on by default?
No. It stays off until you enable it in its Settings tab. Every proposal needs your approval.
Which equipment does it work with?
MIDI CC mapping profiles are included at launch for 30 controller groups, including Pioneer DJ, AlphaTheta, Traktor, Numark, Hercules, RANE, Denon DJ and Reloop. Compatibility is not guaranteed, and some mappings may need adjustment in the app. See Features → MIDI controller mappings for the full list.
Can I use it on an Intel Mac?
No. A/B TEKNIQ requires Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later.
Where do my saved mixes go?
Where you choose to save them. The app’s own library and settings live in your user Application Support area.
Are reactive visuals available?
Not yet. Music-reactive visual layers and vertical video export are in development.
Can I download it for iPad?
The Mac and iPad versions are planned to launch together. The iPad release link will be added to the Download page at launch.
